FAQ

- How to book a drawing

1) Choose a photo according to which you want to have drawn the picture.

2) Choose the format.

3) Send a photo together with information how the drawing should finally look like. Please, use my e-mail evamariacaart(at)centrum.cz

4) I will get back to you to discuss the details.

If you want a group portrait or more objects together it is possible to send individual photos from which I will make a collage for you.

- Photo quality for drawing

In order to capture the cartoon object as faithfully as possible photos need to be of high quality and sharp. The object in the photo must be well-lit, not distorted and the colours have to match reality. The resolution of the photo should be at least 0.8 MB or 1500 px shorter side.

- Material I use

Colour pencils - high-quality and lightfast art colour pencils from Faber-Castell, Caran d ́ Ache, Derwent and Holbein companies.

Surface - most often on high-quality surfaces Pastelmat, Museum Rising Board and Drafting Film.

I choose the surface according to the theme and character of the drawing.

- Delivery time

Drawing with colour pencils is a very slow process. Depending on the difficulty it can take 2-4 weeks. The delivery time therefore depends on how many orders are waiting to be completed. Usually within 3-6 months. If you want a drawing for a certain date such as Christmas or a birthday you need to order the drawing well in advance.

- Payment

After the approval of the template and before the drawing begins I will send you an advance invoice for 50 % of the total amount. After completing the drawing I will send you a preview and an invoice to pay the second half of the amount. Then I will send you the finished drawing.

- Shipping and handling

Packaging is included in the price of the drawing. Postage is governed by the valid price list of the given carrier.

- Presentation on social networks

I present my drawings on social networks and my website, and use them to create calendars. Portraits of children under 15 years of age is the only exception. In this case, I consult the possibility of presentation with their legal representatives.

- How to take care fot your drawing

No drawing or painting likes direct sunlight. Despite the use of highly lightfast colour pencils. UV radiation can cause gradual fading of colours. Therefore, place the painting in a place where the sun does not shine. I recommend framing it under glass with UV protection.
